                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF A PORTION OF WALNUT STREET ON
                   WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 1993, FROM 10:00 A.M.
                   TO 2:00 P.M. FOR THE UNITED WAY DISPLAY FOR
                   PROVIDENT EMPLOYEES, UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of Walnut Street from 5th Street to 6th Street
       on Wednesday, August 11, 1993, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for
       the United Way display for Provident employee, provided that the
       sponsors shall set out and pick up all traffic control signs and
       cones in accordance with the traffic control plan attached hereto 

       and shall provide, at all times, an access lane for emergency
       vehicles.
